Healthy Date Biscuits

  • 250gr Margarine or Coconut Spread/oil
  • 3/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 3/4 cup Cake flour
  • 1/4 cup Maizina (corn flour)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • 1 block dates – chopped up and heated in microwave to make it soft and spreadable.
  • Coconut
  • Sesame Seed

Beat margarine till a light color. Add sugar and beat till mixture is light and fluffy. Add vanilla Essence and beat.

Fold in maizina with a spatula, gradually add flour and baking powder, making a soft dough. Add more flour if too sticky,

Add date mixture and knead dough.

Roll dough into a sausage shape and slice. Pressing dough into a mixture of coconut and sesame seed.

Bake at 180 degrees for 20 min. I baked these in an air-fryer at 170 degrees for 20 min.
