
This recipe makes 36
- 3 3/4 Cups Lukewarm water
- 3 Tablespoons yeast
- 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 9-10.5 Cups Cake Flour
Dipping Solution:
- 3/4 Cup Bicarbonate of Soda
- 4.5 Cups Boiling Water
Topping:
- Melted margarine, salt
Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water, add in flour, mix till just mixed but do not knead. Cover dough and let it rise to double the size.
Pre-heat oven at 180 degree.
Line baking tray with baking paper.
Put water and bicarb in pot and bring to boil.
Once dough is ready, break off balls of dough and roll into snake form, twist / knot.
Dip bagel in hot bicarb water. Put bagels on baking tray and bake for 20 minutes or till golden brown.
Once bagels is out of oven, brush each bagel with melted margarine, and shake salt over the bagel. eave to cool. It will get crispy on top.
