
- 125g Margarine or Coconut oil
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 cup Flour
- 2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 Egg
- Sliced cooked apples – amount depends on how much you want on your apple pie.
- Raisins – optional
- Coconut to sprinkled
Cream the margarine and sugar. Add beaten egg.
Sift flour and baking powder, add to the margarine and sugar mixture.
Mix till a non-sticky dough is formed. Press dough into your baking dish. Keep spare dough for the topping. On the dough spread with cooked apples only. Don’t pour any of the apple juice onto the pastry.
With the spare dough, add coconut, some sugar and cinnamon. Make this left over dough crumbly and sprinkle over the apple.
Bake at 180 degree for 3/4 hour till base of dough is baked.
